Episode 77 - US CX Nats Breakdown, The Bonk Bros Grande Prix, and Dizzle’s SO TALENTED

What up party people. Dizzle had the ride of his life at the US cyclocross nationals this weekend, okay maybe not quite but a good ride nonetheless, and we get him in the hot seat to break the whole thing down. We also banter on about plenty of tire questions and then get into an interesting proposition from one of the fans who suggested we start a Grand Prix, or as I like to think of it as, the Bonk Bros Grande Prix. Let’s hear what y’all think, is this something we should consider tossing up into the ether to see whether it sticks? What up party people, or whatever the hell Dylan wants to call all of y’all since he’s apparently too kosher drinking his  kombucha while grazing his garden to actually know what a good time is. Right off the bat we settle the debate from last week about talent once and for all but don’t worry, I set a time limit on the discussion this week so if your eyes glazed over when Drew mentioned talent wasn’t a thing last week, just skip forward 10 or 12 min and you’ll be on your merry way with the usual Bonk Bros banter about things like the demise of cyclocross, what actually is a gran fondo, some listener questions, and Dylan shares his latest love in the world of gravel tires.

Episode 71 - It Was The Bonk Bros Bash, It Was a Gravel Smash

What is up party people. We recorded this episode on Halloween and figured what better way to get in the spirit than come in our finest costume attire. Of course, Dylan was too cool to join in the fun but the rest of us, well you’re just going to have to tune in to find out who and what we came as. Since DJ missed the episode last week, we give him some air time to talk about his race from Big Sugar and tell us all about his wicked moves on the gravel rave dance floor, before we get into listener questions and who knows what. Like we mentioned last week, we’re working on revamping things a bit this off season to hopefully bring you better content and more offerings for years to come. Episode 70 - Big Sugar Breakdown w/ Kerry Werner and SCOTT IS BACK!

What is up my party people. I wasn’t able to make it down for Big Sugar this past weekend but the rest of the crew was all together and sounded like quite the time. From the Bonk Bros Q&A session at the expo, to crazy war stories from within the bunch, and the gravel rave after party, last weekend sounded off the hook. Big shout to Tyler for conducted another full day of live race updates on the Bonk Bros insta, if you want to see more of Tyler’s live commentary next year be sure to send some postcards to our friends at ESPN to get him in the hot seat for all the gravel coverage they’ll be doing next season. Okay okay maybe ESPN is a little bit of a reach but hey, gotta dream big right? In all seriousness, the action from this past weekend sparked some ideas in our heads for how we can bring the podcast on the road to some fun events next season so if you want to see your favorite podcasters at an event near you next season, have your people contact our people and we’ll see what we can make happen. Anywho, we’ve got Kerry Werner back with us this week and even get a special appearance from fan favorite mystery host Scott, so tune in for some fun conversations. Unfortunately, Dylan came down with some sort of bug this week so wasn’t able to make the recording, so we wish him the best of luck with his recovery so he can hopefully be back behind the mic in no time.

Episode 69 - The Big Showdown Preview w/ Kerry Werner

What up party people. When we started this thing I never thought we’d see the episode count reach 69 but here we are. And what better timing the the week we’ve all been waiting months for. The big showdown between our very own Andrew Dizzle Dillman and Dylan DJ Johnson is finally here. Who will conquer and come out on top, or likely around 17th, only time will tell. Thankfully, we’ll have our chief correspondent on the grounds to cover the action live for y’all so be sure to tune into the Bonk Bros live updates from Big Sugar presented by Tyler Cloutier. In case you missed the coverage from Little Sugar last weekend, Tyler is basically a pro commentator, videographer, navigator, and whatever else is needed to capture bike racing in the heat of the moment so we know he’ll bring the heat this Saturday.
Also, the boys will be doing a LIVE tire talk session at the Big Sugar expo Friday afternoon at the Ignition booth around 2p so add it to your calendars now and bring all your burning tire questions to put the fellas on the spot.
