Episode 10 - All Things Leadville w/ Jeremiah Bishop

What up party people! Welcome back to episode 10 of the Bonk Bros podcast. This week we are covering all things Leadville. If you’ve been living under a rock your whole life or maybe you’re just not into racing mountain bikes, the Leadville Trail 100 is one of the oldest, hardest, and highest 100 mile off road bike races in the US, heck maybe the world. I’ve personally completed the race one time in 2017 and I’m stoked to get back there this year. With the LifeTime Grand Prix adopting this legendary race into their series, we figured it was only fitting to get our FIRST guest on the show who caries a rich history with this race himself. That’s right, we’ve got special guest Jeremiah Bishop on the air for this episode and have some good fun breaking down the past and future of Leadville. Episode 9 - Snowshoe World Cup, Leadville, and More

What up party people! Just a quick intro today because the show this week actually went quite a bit longer than usual and I want to get y’all into the good stuff. Lots of mountain bike talk this week as we cover some of the Snowshoe World Cup racing, speculate what might go down at Leadville next week, and answer a couple listener questions. Episode 8 - MTB Nationals and The Best Gravel Race You’ve Never Heard Of

What up party people! Welcome back to the Bonk Bros podcast. This week we kick things off with MTB Nationals that took place this past weekend in Winter Park, CO. There were some surprising and not-so-surprising results that we cover. None of us were there or even had the chance to catch up with anyone who was and to add chaos to the matter the Flobikes coverage was kinda spotty. So all of our takes are from a birds eye view, mostly looking through Insta feeds and results sheets. After that I get into some breakdown of the Nepomuk Narly 100. What’s that, you’ve never heard of the Nepomuk Narly before? Yeah, neither had I but I’m sure glad I found out about it before race day because this was an experience I will never forget. Not only did I get to spend the first half of the race in the early break with gravel legend Adam Roberge, who by the way is just as class act as they come, but the off-the-bike experience is what truly set this race apart. Pre-race snacks, plenty of neutral aid stations, post-race activities for the whole family including food trucks, train rides, bouncy houses, and a street dance to end the night. Episode 7 - Crit Beef and MTB Thief

In case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t seen the brawl that broke out this past weekend at the American Crit Cup round in Salt Lake City between Legion and Best Buddies, just type some words into the Google machine and I’m sure you’ll find any number of memes and remixes of the incident. Anyways, that’s the main topic for the show today and we get into it after Scott talks about his crazy experience at the UCI XC race he went to in Canada. Episode 5 - Armstrong Apprehended and What The Helmet is Going On at The Tour?

We start this show off with a bit of an emotional discussion around the murder case of Mo Wilson, the rising off-road pro who was shot and killed in May by alleged suspect, Kaitlin Armstrong. The latest updates aren't all somber as Armstrong was apprehended in Costa Rica last week and brought back to US where she remains in custody. Then we get into some banter about the latest gear being showcased at The Tour.
